Pfaelzer Hof in Weisenheim am Sand

Dear Pfälzer Hof team, we ordered goose and salmon from you last Sunday. I wanted to thank you for the excellent, punctual delivery service. The quality of both dishes was excellent; Goose crispy, dumplings great, pasta al dente, salmon perfect. Gladly again.

We ordered the goose menu last weekend and were absolutely delighted. Individual changes / requests were also possible. Absolutely nice, personable and competent. Very, very tasty! We become repeat offenders 😊

The food was very good 👍

We arrived just as the kitchen was closing. It was immediately clear that food was still being offered for two! And it turned into a delightful dinner with courteous service quickly and easily The following evening we were there again for dinner with a companion. Once again we were entertained with the welcome from the house and wonderfully successful dishes, with a delicious Palatinate wine pint. The young word people are masters of their business, but also suffer from the few visitors due to Corona.

Price performance ratio not OK.

Update from October 2nd, 2020 Gerstern I went to the Pfälzer Hof to eat again. The menu has changed and I decided on the rump steak from Australian Black Angus beef with herb butter and fried potatoes ... for a mere 30 € I had great expectations ... when the plate came ... well, my first impression: “If it tastes as good as it looks” .... the rump steak is a beast in quality and taste! Folks, that was a treat! Perfectly fried and a really great taste! Take a look at the pictures, that's exactly how it tasted! The herb butter was obviously homemade, lovely how it melted into the steak and the herbs were left over. Homemade is simply best! The fried potatoes were also noticeable! So cross and just great, like at home ...! In short: that was the best rump steak I've eaten in the last few years! In a few weeks I have to come back and eat it for the second time, so that I can believe it Finally, on the trappings: As always, clean tablecloths, cutlery is served with gloves and a clean, neat ambience with very pleasant service staff! I always like to come back here! I have been to the restaurant several times now. After beautiful day tours in the Palatinate, you like to hang out here for a culinary end to the day. I think the frequently changing menu is good, so there are always new delicacies to eat here! This time I chose the beef fillet. At a decent price I was expecting decent food and ..... I was NOT disappointed 👍 the meat was of great quality and it was cooked to the point 👍 the sauce makes your mouth water. Of the two pieces, I cut the thinner one first. Perfect and so relaxed 👍 with the second, somewhat thicker piece, I hoped for a continuation and was NOT disappointed again 👍 the delicious sauce mixed nicely with the gravy on the plate, so that you could dip the croquettes and the bacon-coated beans in it. All in all, this was probably my best meal in a restaurant this year👍 The beer garden was very pleasant and the staff very attentive and friendly. Out of a possible 10 points I like to give 9.8 points here. two more croquettes and ten would have been reached leider I unfortunately made a mistake: I forgot to dip bread, then the kitchen staff would have had nothing to do with washing Conclusion: I normally don't write long texts for reviews, it was appropriate here! A very nice location and really good food. I had an Argentinian rum steak with chanterelles and my friend a salad, both of which were very well prepared and very tasty. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back!

We ate 3 times at the Pfälzerhof during our short break in Weisenheim in September. We were served very friendly, the food was very good, the waiting time was reasonable. On our second visit we noted that we would like to try Palatinate specialties, but unfortunately they are not on the menu. Then the boss offered us to prepare something for the next day. We were very pleased. The food was really typically Palatinate (Saumagen, etc.), and very tasty. We were delighted with this great commitment and would be happy to recommend the restaurant to others.

Unfortunately not met expectations We used to visit the Pfälzer Hof regularly with the previous tenant and were always very satisfied. With this expectation, we visited the restaurant again after a long time. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The employee in the service was hard-working and extremely friendly, but not trained or properly trained. The menu was only brought after a long waiting time, the drinks lasted about 15 minutes and only 2 plates were brought at the same time, which of course meant that everyone could only eat together after a long waiting time. Here you have to think about employing a trained service person (no reproach to the employee). Concerning. of the food I can't understand the mostly good reviews so far. The salad plate all sorts consisted mainly of the wild herb salad + chicken breast fillet. The other dishes were all ok, but nothing special and the whistle was missing. The white bread served with the starter salad was very hard, as was the white bread under the gratinated camembert, so that you had to fear that it would jump off the plate when you cut it. The white bread served with the salad was fresh and tasted really good. The children's menu was very unimaginative and only consisted of three dishes (french fries, noodles + tomato sauce, schnitzel + fries). It was mentioned here that the pasta was already out. This was surprising, since no other children were guests that evening. We also noticed negatively that only 30 minutes after ordering the food they were told that a selected starter was over. Overall, I have to say that the things mentioned don't fit a house that wants to offer interesting dishes at a higher price. For me, both the service and the whistle of the dishes are in no reasonable relation to the prices. Since we eat around 1-2 / week in the region, I also judge the experiences made in relation to other restaurants I visited.

We were here for the first time since the opening of the Palatinate Court. Our choice a lot on an Argentinian rum steak, which the cook did very well. My husband and I were very satisfied with a full stomach. Unfortunately, no dessert fit in anymore, but that will be brought up next time. Ambience, service and food get a 1 from us. Great food with a young, committed team in a pleasant atmosphere!

Very nice atmosphere, the owners are very friendly and you immediately feel welcome. The dishes are very high quality!

To be assessed positively under the new tenant. Service is very friendly and the level is similar to that of Holger Cott. Still recommended. Eaten well again and enjoyed excellent service. Will come back soon.

Lovingly furnished restaurant, very attentive service, good value for money. The seasonally offered Martinsgans is very much in demand, so it may well happen that not everything on the menu offered is also available. For vegetarians, the selection is unfortunately very clear.

The food was delicious! Unfortunately, we did not manage to eat and asked for the rest. When we wanted to go and take the food we were told that the food was disposed of. Too bad! That's why only 3 stars.
